Summer’s arrived …

June’s North Yorkshire Open Studios artists and makers threw open their studio doors to the public for OPEN STUDIOS 6-7 & 13-14 June. It was marvellous to be a part and meet so many enthusiasts and to share the occasion with fellow artists at Craven Arts House as part of the NYOS Skipton Art Trail. Under the NYOS umbrella we will be open again in November.

Words and Pictures is the next open art exhibition at Craven Arts. This connects with the National Year of Reading 2026 | Go All In and is open 2 July to 30 August. Thanks to the Art Shop the people’s choice prize will be £200 for both winning adult and young artist.

We are also showing in Bowlee visitor centre near Middleton in Teesdale as part of the North Pennines National Landscape organisation’s celebration of 20th year of peat restoration projects.

NEXT it’s the annual agricultural shows season, a favourite time in farming communities. We will open at TRAWDEN & DISTRICT SHOW, followed by our local GARGRAVE SHOW and wind up at a new venue for us the HODDER VALLEY SHOW at Slaidburn.
